The fundamentals in HR always remain the same.  It is important that most HR professionals needs to keep a dynamic approach in this new technology landscape.  There is always a lingering question whether the HR Department as as whole cease to exist.

The answer can be  a Yes and a NO .

  • Dynamic  changes in department structures 
    Most companies are working internally to organize and restructure the HR organization. The coming  years due to fast automation roles would change skills would differ and finally the titles. We can predict automation where the HR has to work closely with large scale systems and data sets.
  • Is outsourcing the only solution ?

The answer can be a “NO” outsourcing will be effective when you get rid of overlaying transaction related activities.  Why it fails , ultimately with implementation of AI there is going to be  a huge discomfort that can be job security, redundancy . Most HR professionals  have to work closely with managers and teams participating as an active listener and inspire employees to take up different new roles.

  • Higher Importance on intrapreneurship

Employees working inside a large corporate are mostly intrapreneurs having ideas , moving forward scalability and redesigning companies. The role of HR as a team is to work and participate with dynamic teams and encourage upcoming intrapreneurs. Coined  by Gifford Pinchot III in the late 1970s, he described intrapreneurs as “dreamers who do. Those who take hands-on responsibility for creating innovation of any kind, within a business.”

The role of HR organization is to encourage employees to take up a bit of discomfort that would eventually create a large impact across teams.

  • Communicate Effectively 

Effective communication of the vision and purpose of the organization is essential while building an intrapreneurial team. Companies that dont collaborate and build a culture of out of box thinking eventually cease to exist.  Due to the fast  technological changes employees have to be adept and learn new skills within less time. HR as a communicator and inspirational leader is essential for building a strong culture of learning.
